    Karnataka is a state in southwest India with Arabian Sea coastlines. It has so many amazing places to visit. Shivanasamudra is one of the best waterfalls near Bangalore. This beautiful waterfall is not very far from Bangalore which is the capital of Karnataka. Shivanasamudra can be reached by any of the two important cities either Bangalore that is 130 kilometers or from Mysore that is 81 kilometers by a road drive. A long drive of 81 kilometers from Mysore will take you to reach the exotic Shivanasamudra the place having one the waterfalls near Bangalore.

    Spectacular Waterfalls near Bangalore

    Shivanasamudra is blessed with the Kaveri River that gets segmented into the two twin waterfalls by the island town Shivanasamudra. The segmented waterfall is interestingly got names that are Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. These waterfalls is world’s sixteenth largest waterfall that is worth visiting this place. Planning the visit to twin waterfalls in the month between September to January will be the best time to visit. Making a visit at sunrise or sunset will serve you an epic scenic beauty of the place.

    The waterfall is a host for a relaxing picnic spot. About 200 steps will take you down near the waterfall, and less volume of water gives the safe spot to enjoy the waterfall bath and play. To reach to the view place 20 rupees is entry ticket. To view both waterfalls, a distance of 15 kilometers away from the waterfall spot will give you the eye-soothing view of the twin waterfall. The place will take 30 to 45 minutes to explore the place.

    Asia’s first hydroelectricity Power Station was set up in the downstream of the Shivanasamudra fall. The Power Station was set up in 1932. The power generated by this dam was once had been used by the rich gold mines nearby named Kolar Gold Fields. The place is rich with diverse flora. The rocky cliffs around make the waterfall view breathtaking. One of the Karnataka tourist place named Talakadu is a nearby destination to visit from the waterfall, it will take 45 minutes to reach the temple town of Karnataka.

    Talakadu
